Brantley M. Dunaway Put on Administrative Leave

July 13, 2013

The Board of Kentucky Shakespeare voted yesterday to put Producing Artistic Director and CEO Brantley M. Dunaway on paid administrative leave through July 22, 2013. Mr. Dunaway agrees this is in the best interest of the organization. The Board will review Mr. Dunaway’s continued employment after this date.
The Board will investigate any and all allegations regarding the internal management of Kentucky Shakespeare by Mr. Dunaway. It is the board’s directive to be as thorough, expedient and transparent as possible in this situation given its unique circumstance of being such a public and private matter. No further comment will be made on Mr. Dunaway’s personal legal proceedings.
Our goal is to make the best decisions for Kentucky Shakespeare that will keep the organization running as smoothly as possible during a very trying time, as well as continue our legacy as an integral part of the Kentuckiana arts community.
