June 3-July 25: “The Tempest.” Directed by Matt Wallace.

June 18-July 25: “The Taming of the Shrew.” Directed by Amy Attaway.

July 2-July 26: “Macbeth.” Directed by Matt Wallace.

• All three plays will be performed in repertory July 14-July 26.

July 25: Bard-a-Thon. Kentucky Shakespeare performs all three plays in one day.

July 29-Aug. 2: “The Comedy of Errors” performed by the Globe Players, Kentucky Shakespeare’s student production.

Aug. 4-9: Community Partners Week (other theater companies’ performances).

• “Recent and Relevant Shakespeare” New commissioned work form Theatre[502]

• “Chasing Ophelia” by Doug Schutte of The Bard’s Town Theatre.

PLUS

• “Late Night Shakes” Improvised Shakespeare by the Louisville Improvisors at 10:30 p.m. June 27, July 11 and 18.

• All evenings include food trucks, an open bar called Will’s Tavern and pre-show entertainment provided by groups from throughout the community.

Kentucky Shakespeare Producing Artistic Director Matt Wallace announces adult auditions for the 2015, 3-production professional season of THE TEMPEST, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, and MACBETH.

Auditions:  Saturday, December 6 from 9:00AM-1:00PM, Sunday, December 7 from 10:00AM-6:00PM, and Monday, December 8 from 5:30-10:00PM, at ArtSpace, 2nd floor rehearsal hall, 323 W. Broadway, Louisville, KY  40202.  Appointment required.  Auditions are for adult actors only.

Appointments: Beginning November 3, please email Director of Education Kyle Ware - kyle@kyshakespeare.com or call 502.574.9900 to schedule audition appointment.  Callbacks at the end of each audition hour and in December/January, as needed.

Audition Requirements:  Headshot/Resume.  Please prepare two contrasting Shakespeare monologues, at least one in verse with total audition time no longer than 4 minutes.

Contract:  Paid Non-Equity.  Possible AEA TBD.

Contract Dates:  05/04/15 – 07/26/15 (12 weeks – TEMPEST opens 06/04/15; SHREW opens 06/19/15; MACBETH opens 07/03/15)

Please note that Kentucky Shakespeare rehearses during the day and actors must be available for daytime rehearsals.  Most actors will perform in all three productions in rotating repertory.
