DESCRIPTION:Continuing our October tradition of site-specific performances\, Kentucky Shakespeare presents the radio drama THE WAR OF THE WORLDS in Louisville Public Media’s performance studio\, 619 South Fourth Street in downtown Louisville. This infamous radio play\, originally presented by Orson Welles’ Mercury Theatre in 1938\, terrified the nation. People believed the tale of an alien invasion\, adapted from the H. G. Wells novel of the same name\, was actually taking place.
