2019 Shakespeare Spring Tour Cast
Zachary Burrell (Macduff/Bloody Sergeant/Servant/Messenger/Murderer 2/Apparitions) was last seen on the Kentucky Shakespeare stage as Prince Hal in Henry IV, Part I. Other Ky Shakespeare credits: Valentine (Two Gentlemen of Verona), Clown (Winter’s Tale) and Paris (Romeo and Juliet). He has also worked frequently around Louisville with Theatre , StageOne Family Theatre, Pandora Productions, and Derby Dinner Playhouse. He is a graduate of Adams State University in Colorado.
Dathan Hooper’s (Macbeth/Murderer 3) previous Kentucky Shakespeare credits include Othello, Titus Andronicus, Comedy of Errors, The Winter’s Tale, Much Ado About Nothing, Julius Caesar, Macbeth, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Hamlet, The Tempest, Pericles and Gammer Gurton’s Needle, among others. His other regional credits are with Actors Theatre of Louisville, StageOne Family Theatre, Arkansas Repertory Theatre, The Mule Barn Theatre, The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles and The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble of Los Angeles. Dathan has numerous television and film credits and is proud of his long relationship with Louisville’s arts community.
Owen Kresse (Duncan/Lenox/Murderer 1/Doctor/Witch 2) is happy to be back with Kentucky Shakespeare for this tour of Macbeth. His previous work with the company includes Mark Antony in the 2017 spring tour of Julius Caesar. He hopes that the work done by the Kentucky Shakespeare spring tours will continue to entertain and expose youth to the joys of performing and creative works.
Megan Massie (Lady Macbeth/Witch 3/Ross/Young Seward) has been a member of the Kentucky Shakespeare family since 2013. She was an Artistic Associate touring the state with the Education Department from 2013-2016. During that time she also appeared on the Central Park Stage as Juliet (Romeo and Juliet), Ophelia (Hamlet), Miranda (The Tempest), Katherine/Chorus (Henry V) and many more. She now works as an Education Coordinator for Kentucky Shakespeare and is excited to continue performing with the company and this amazing cast. Special thanks to her husband Kyle for his continuous support, and to Jack and Pene, the sweetest, fattest cats.
Charity Means (Malcolm/Fleance/Witch 1/Lord) is happy to embark on another tour with Kentucky Shakespeare. Mollie Murk (Banquo/Lady Macduff/Porter/Seyton/Gentlewoman/Apparition) is thrilled to be back on tour with Kentucky Shakespeare! She is a graduate of Hope College with degrees in Theatre and Dance Performance/Choreography, and recently returned from studying with Tina Packer and other master teachers at Shakespeare & Company’s internationally recognized Center for Actor Training.
Mollie has worked with Kentucky Shakespeare for two years as a touring actor in Twelfth Night and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and in last year’s production of Titus Andronicus as Lavinia. She also acts with Derby Dinner Playhouse, Suspend Performing Arts, and Know Theatre of Cincinnati. In addition to performing, she has worked as a teaching artist and choreographer for Hope Summer Repertory Theatre, Seattle Children’s Theatre, and Lookingglass Theatre Company.
