Ashley Wingo is an Artist Educator who relocated from Jackson Tennessee and was born & raised in the south of Mississippi. After achieving her Associate’s Degree (Hinds Community College) and her BFA in Stage and Screen Acting (The University of Mississippi), Ashley worked professionally in Jackson Tennessee for a year.

She found herself moving to the city of Louisville soon after to begin her new position with Kentucky Shakespeare as a touring artist and actor. Ashley will reprise her position with Kentucky Shakespeare as part of the Summer Education Touring group. Ashley will also be working with Kentucky Shakespeare’s summer acting company as an understudy for the role of Hamlet in the Festival’s 65th anniversary season of Kentucky Shakespeare Festival.

Outside of her college & professional career, Ashley achieved the title as an Actor Combatant through the Society of American Fight Directors, and plans to continue learning as she is a student at heart. In her free time, you can find Ashley with an iced latte, watching her favorite film, or playing her favorite role playing game. Ashley is excited to continue working with Kentucky Shakespeare as she delves deeper into her roles with the company. Ashley is grateful for the constant support she receives from her partner, friends, and family.
