Thanks to a Louisville Metro External Agency Fund Grant, we’re again partnering with Louisville Free Public Library to bring Shakespeare to the Louisville Public Libraries this November and December.

Thanks to the generosity of Louisville Metro Government, Kentucky Shakespeare tours our free one-hour performance of Hamlet for young audiences to ten Louisville Free Public Library branches. It’s a fun and free opportunity for families throughout the city to experience this accessible and creative take on Shakespeare’s most famous play. It follows Prince Hamlet as he returns home to discover “something’s rotten in the state of Denmark.” Our fun and fast-paced Two-Actor Hamlet highlights self-worth, relationship dynamics, the consequences of acting on vengeance, and finding help in times of isolation or vulnerability.

During the interactive performance the actors will engage with audience members and have the opportunity for post-performance discussion as well. The program is suitable for all ages.

Director of Education Kyle Ware adapted and directed the production.
