We’re again partnering with Louisville Free Public Library to bring Shakespeare to the Louisville Public Libraries this November and December.

Thanks to the generosity of Louisville Metro Government, we are offer free one-hour performances of The Taming of the Shrew at your local library branch. It’s a fun and free opportunity for families throughout the city to experience this creative take on Shakespeare’s comedy – incorporating audience participation, puppetry, and imagination, with two of our professional actors.

Two of Shakespeare’s strongest characters square off in a battle of wits as the scheming Petruchio faces the headstrong Kate. Shakespeare’s classic comedy highlights relationship dynamics, self-respect, character and identifying bullying behavior alongside healthier alternatives. During the interactive performance the actors will engage with audience members and have the opportunity for post-performance discussion as well. The educational performance highlights conflict resolution, healthy relationships, self-esteem, self-respect, and anti-bullying messages. The program is suitable for all ages. Director of Education Kyle Ware directs production.
