Hannah Pruitt, Director of Creative Engagement

Hannah (she/her) has been a part of the Kentucky Shakespeare team since 2012 and has served as the Camp Shakespeare Intern/Stage Manager for the Globe Players, Assistant Director for several Spring Tours, Arts Education Coordinator, and Education Programs Manager.  Hannah has spent the last 14 summers with her favorite Kentucky Shakespeare program, Camp Shakespeare.

In 2021, she became the Director of Creative Engagement and trains our Artist Educators, creates curriculum for workshops and residencies, cultivates relationships with schools, community partners, and arts education advocates, and most recently, she created our newest Kentucky Shakespeare workshop, Voices of Youth, that was selected as a grant recipient of the Kentucky Foundation for Women.  She serves as a member of the Cultural Consortium and a member of the Education Committee for the Shakespeare Theatre Association.  She is certified by the National Council for Mental Well-being in Mental Health First Aid for both Adults and Youth.

Hannah has completed her training to become a certified Intimacy Director with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators, Inc. and is in her working mentorship program with them.  As the Resident Intimacy Director with the company, a recent selection of her work as the Intimacy Director includes The Importance of Being Earnest, Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet, Cymbeline, and Frankenstein.  She has also worked with her alma mater, the University of Louisville’s Theatre Department, as the Intimacy Director for Three Oranges, She Kills Monsters, and 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.  Other ID projects in the community include working with three witches shakespeare, Stage One, Looking for Lilith, Pandora Productions, and This Bridge Theatre.

Hannah hails from the lovely city of Henderson, KY.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Louisville with a BS in Theatre Arts.
