“Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears.”
Calphurnia, wife of Caesar, warns him to stay home. Portia, wife of Brutus, asks him why many people wearing cloaks over their faces have visited their house in the middle of the night. The soothsayer tries to stop everyone from gathering at the capitol. No one listens, no one bewares the Ides of March… and we all know what happens next. The production is set in ancient Rome and features the fiery Cassius (YPAS’s own brilliant theater teacher Brian Hinds), the brooding thoughtful Brutus (Ky Shakes favorite Dathan Hooper), and the full toga-wearing Kentucky Shakespeare company.
