Our two-actor show, Kentucky History: Chronicles of the Commonwealth tours to four Louisville Free Public Libraries in October, 2025
October 2-11, Kentucky Shakespeare brings our two-actor, one-hour interactive performance of Kentucky History: Chronicles of the Commonwealth to four Louisville Free Public Library branches.
Journey through time with our actors as they uncover the impressive history of the Commonwealth of Kentucky! Through primary source documents, we’ll meet some famous names who shaped our state as we explore Kentucky’s rich oral traditions, diverse geography, and vast contributions to the nation.
Content/Events/Eras Covered: Pre-historic Periods, The Great Dying, The Men & Women of Frontier Kentucky, Daniel Boone, Lewis and Clark and York, Abraham Lincoln, The Civil War, The Hatfields & McCoys, the Kentucky Derby, Muhammad Ali, Kentucky State Facts
Shows are free and appropriate for ages 8 and up. During the interactive performance, the actors engage with audience members and have the opportunity for post-performance discussion.
